This past Sunday the kids explored the story of Jesus feeding 5,000 people with 2 loaves of bread and 5 sardine-like fish. They learned that not only was this large crowd fed and satisfied, but they had 12 baskets of left-overs. They goal of the lesson was to see what God can do with a little in order to do a lot. To help them learn the lesson they engaged in a little science project involving mementos and Diet Coke.
Recently our kids participated in a Holocaust Remembrance Activity. The kids painted rocks for the Kingwood Memorial Garden to remember children killed in the Holocaust. They painted a rock that had the name and age of a child killed during the holocaust.
Pastor Philip Heine will be placing the rocks in the garden for our kids. Below are a few pics of the kids working on this project.
